Cancer Australia engaged HMA to develop an evidence based monitoring framework for effective consumer engagement for cancer organisations. The key tasks included:
- A literature review of the relevant evidence to support development of a monitoring framework for consumer engagement. The review considered consumer engagement at the organisational level, the project / activity level and the individual level, and
- Develop a monitoring framework for cancer organisations to monitor their progress in consumer engagement. The framework had to be sufficiently flexible to include all types of cancer organisation including health services, NGOs and GPs. It also had to be a practical tool that organisations could use without undue data collection or staff burden.
The project commenced in May 2013 and was completed in July 2013.
