The Department of Veterans’ Affairs engaged HMA to undertake and evaluate the Veterans’ MATES program, a quality use of medicine program aimed at improving veterans’ well being. Key tasks involved:
- reviewing 17 educational modules aimed to strengthen quality use of medicines, directed to general practitioners, pharmacists and veterans
- undertaking consultations with key stakeholders across Australia, and
- providing directions to strengthen the effectiveness of the program.
The evaluation commenced in September 2014 and was completed in November 2014.
