The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) engaged HMA to undertake an evaluation of the National Men’s Health Ambassador Speaker Program (NMHASP). The NMHASP was a part of the National Men’s Continence Awareness Project, which was established by the Department of Health and Ageing under Phase 3 of the National Continence Management Strategy (NCMS). The NMHASP sought to promote awareness of prostate health and continence issues through peer information sessions  and speaking engagements. Key tasks of the evaluation were:

  • consolidation and assessment of survey responses from ambassadors, organisational representatives and audience members
  • review of monthly statistics data
  • review of training provided to ambassadors via feedback response and follow up telephone interviews, and
  • interviews with key stakeholders and program managers.

The project commenced in October 2008 and was completed in August 2010
