Catherine has been a consultant for the past eleven years, and has over twenty five years of experience in strengthening the health and well-being of communities. She specialises in program evaluation, service development, and workforce planning. Catherine has undertaken projects in a wide range of areas including allied health, mental health, and Aboriginal health and social and emotional wellbeing.
Catherine brings to this role a depth of experience in policy development and service delivery. She was an Executive Officer at the Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA) supporting community health centres and regional and rural hospitals influence government policy and provided a wide range of professional development programs to support Boards and CEOs. She also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Chelsea Community Health and Inner South Community Health Services.
Early in her career, Catherine worked as a community solicitor in a number of inner suburban community legal services.
Catherine’s departmental clients have included the Commonwealth Department of Health, Victorian Department of Health and Human Services, Victorian Department of Justice, ACT Health, Northern Territory Department of Health and Families, South Australian Department for Health and Ageing, WA Clinical Training Network and The Pharmacy Guild of Australia.
Catherine is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Management. She has a Masters in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Laws.
