Emma O’Brien
Manager
Emma O’Brien is an experienced evaluator, project manager and public health researcher with strong expertise in regional, rural and remote health. She has worked across Victorian and Queensland settings, bringing consulting experience from HMA and practical insight from roles supporting health services, community organisations and local government.
Emma has led cross-sector work with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, community services and government partners to strengthen equitable access to culturally responsive care. She brings expertise in evaluation, research design, knowledge translation and stakeholder engagement across Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, public health nutrition, volatile substance use, mental health and suicide prevention. Skilled in qualitative and mixed-methods research, Emma is committed to helping health organisations design programs and policies grounded in community experience and cultural context.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Food and Nutrition Science, and is due to complete her Master of Health Research in 2026.
