Bowel Cancer Prevention Project – South West Healthcare

South West Healthcare engaged HMA to support the evaluation of its Bowel Cancer prevention project, which has been funded over two years to increase early detection and awareness of bowel cancer in the local government areas of Warrnambool, Corangamite and Moyne.

The methodology involved HMA working collaboratively with South West Healthcare in the:

• development of an evaluation framework
• undertaking consultations with key stakeholders
• surveying consumers, health organisations and health professionals
• analysing National Bowel Cancer Screening program data, survey and focus groups
• preparing three evaluation reports over the life of the project.

The project commenced in April 2014 and was completed in December 2016.
