DVA engaged HMA to undertake a review of online training programs and professional development incentives for mental health professionals. The aim of the project is to identify appropriate ways to provide professionals with a greater understanding of the military experience for better clinical management of veterans and their families. Key tasks included:

  • desktop review of learning and development compliance and incentives
  • stakeholder consultation with mental health professional peak bodies, colleges and ex-service organisations
  • online survey to capture the views of mental health professionals
  • triangulation of data for a gap analysis
  • develop future recommendations.

This project commenced in May 2018 and was completed in December 2018.
